Hi fellow bloggers!
Not only will this be another place to share your stories and wisdom, but I will also be using it as a way to share great blogging tips and products I’ve discovered. I know many of you ladies (and gentlemen!) are into blogging for the long haul, so I hope the information I provide becomes helpful. That being said, some recommended products may contain affiliate links, or come directly from my own web design business, Risen Upon Thee.
Also, if you have a blogging tip or product you’d love to feature in this linkup, please contact me! I would love to share your knowledge with everyone else, so we can all grow and help one another. I’ll also share a bit about your blog, testimony and mission online if you would like! Applicable to both contributors and non-contributors.

Please share only Christian related or homemaking posts here. Any links not in line with these topics will be removed. You are welcome to engage with the posts of other bloggers, but it is not required. If you would like to feature this linkup on your blog, use the button below! 🙂

Now, without further delay… one of my top blogging tips!
Three WordPress Tricks You Don’t Know About
This tip is for those who have a self-hosted WordPress site. This means you pay a host monthly for your web service and have WordPress.org software installed. It’s an easy process depending on the host, and something that a serious blogger should consider. For more information, read How to Know If You’re Ready for Paid Hosting by me!
The WordPress software is full of so many options that it can be difficult to know what some of the most useful ones are. Below, I’m revealing three handy tricks that aren’t obviously found throughout.
#1: BATCH EDITS
This is a well hidden but powerful trick to editing multiple properties of multiple posts at once. Let’s say you wanted to create a new category to put some of your past published posts into, but didn’t want to go into each of those posts one by one to do it… well, fortunately, you don’t have too! For each page of the “All Posts” archive, check the posts you want to put into the new category. Then, select Edit from the drop down Bulk Actions window, as seen below:
Next, a panel will open up like this:
From here, you can add the posts you selected to the new category, as well as alter many other options! You can add tags, change the author, status, comments, etc. When you are finished, simply hit update!

Shout Out!
Jaime Wiebel, whom a lot of you in the blogging world may know, has recently redone her site! And I was thrilled that she called upon me to help. Jaime was previously blogging on Blogger, a free blogging service by Google, but she felt lead by God to make a change. She was ready to switch to a paid host and begin blogging on the popular WordPress.org software!
Jaime told me what she was looking for in a new design and together, we worked to create a beautiful new chapter to her blogging experience. I also transferred all her existing content from Blogger to WordPress.org so that she’d didn’t lose a thing. The project was turned around in about a month and was a big success!
