01. We accept and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the true son of God, born to the virgin Mary and who came to deliver us from sin and secure us everlasting life with Him in Heaven. When He died on the cross, we believe He was risen again in three days and therefore defeated the bondage of death and sin forever for those who would believe in him.
02. We believe the Bible is the one and only true word of God.
Every word of Scripture is anointed and chosen by God. It was written through humans who were guided by the Holy Spirit to accomplish the task accurately and faithfully.
03. We believe the Bible is a historical record.
The Old Testament tells the truth about the origin of the world and it’s inhabitants. It also accurately records the creation of the nation Israel and God’s covenant with them, as well as the expectation of a forthcoming savior to fulfill the law. The New Testament records the truth about Jesus Christ, his birth, life, death and resurrection. It also explains the origin of the first church and the promise of Jesus’s return.
04. The Bible is meant to be read and is not outdated.
No matter what society deems as acceptable or unacceptable, the truth of God’s Word is not diminished and endures to this day. The Bible is meant to guide the life of any human being in any time period, and even though we no longer live like the culture that exists within the Bible, the general truths about sin and how we are to conduct ourselves is still relevant and necessary.
05. No one has fallen outside of God’s grace.
No matter what you have done, Jesus is waiting to secure your salvation after you confess your belief in him and repent. You will then begin the process of having your mind and heart renewed for His glory and your benefit.
06. We believe in the Apostles’ creed, which is a statement of faith that has been spoken since the fourth century.
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
* The use of “Catholic” refers to the universal church of God’s people throughout all ages.
