Never Forget How Much Jesus Loves You

I am horrified reading the accounts of the pain and suffering Jesus experienced on His way to the cross. He came down to earth and was born as a baby, trained as a carpenter, recruited twelve disciples as He began His ministry. (He was denied by one and betrayed by another.) Christ performed incredible miracles on the road to Calvary. This year my faith in Jesus continues to be bolstered beyond all measure.

I NEVER want to forget…

Today I remember the cross and what Jesus did for me. For many years Good Friday was a day off from work or just an opportunity for a long weekend. I know that what happened at the cross saved my life, rescued me from Hell, and has given me hope of eternal life with Him.

Are you brokenhearted because of the pain He suffered? I am beyond thankful for His willingness to be the ransom that saved me from all my sin. We will never understand a love like His, but thankfully we accept His gift of salvation. I want to live each day of my life in obedience to please God so that He is glorified.

But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities, and the peace of our chastisement was upon Him; and by His scourging we are healed.  He was oppressed and afflicted; yet He opened not His mouth.” Isaiah 53:5-7

Remember the examples of love and compassion that Jesus showed to everyone regardless of their race, their social standing, or even income level. He loved the poor, the sick, and the helpless.   Christ did not judge based on their appearance and asked for nothing in return.  I want to remember the patience and grace He showed for those that surrounded Him as they sought His help. Sadly they never understood that His mission on earth was to save them from their sins.

So some children were brought to him so that He might lay hands on them and pray. Matthew 19:13.

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. Luke 19:10

Jesus Inspires me

Are you inspired by Jesus and His awesome power when you read about all the miracles He performed?   He turned water into wine–good wine! Christ healed the lame and blessed the blind to see. He fed 5000 plus people with five loaves and two small fish. My Lord calmed the wind and seas during violent storms. He raised His friend, Lazarus from the dead.

That being said, I want to embrace the strength and humility He showed. My Lord was falsely accused, spat upon, beaten unmercifully, and He did not utter a word to anyone. The undeniable courage that Jesus showed while dying on that cross–bearing the burden of God’s wrath inspires me.

Christ is no longer on the Cross!

As we reflect on Resurrection Sunday, I know my hope comes from Jesus. He no longer hangs on that cross or lies dead in a tomb, but He is risen!

Right now, Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God. He has sent the Holy Spirit to live within and to watch over me. My Savior is preparing a home for me to join Him in Heaven one day.  Oh, what a glorious feeling! I hope you feel the same as you read these words of comfort from Jesus.

“Let not your heart be troubled ; you believe in God, believe also in me, In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive unto myself that where I am there you may be also.” John 14:1-3.

Because Jesus rose again, we can now have the security of salvation and the forgiveness of our sins when we put our trust in Him. We have the opportunity for an intimate relationship with God while He molds us to be more like Christ. And when you see the sun rise on Sunday morning, cherish the fact that He has RISEN. Never forget how much your Savior loves you and thank Him for all He has done!
