It’s there on the mountain tops.
It looks down over the landscape that was designed by hand, specific, intentional and glorious.
It is there in the ocean waves.
Mighty and powerful, it pounds the shores, forming rocks and bringing in the tides.
Snow flakes whisper about it, while powerful thunder storms scream about its power.
Flowering trees bow to it, and crops lift up their praises.
His presence is always there, leaving us mystified, humble and full of wonder. God is there, creating, forming and all to the glory of His name. Creation speaks, and we are privileged to take part in the praises that it lifts up to Him.
We are included, and not just as an after thought. God sought us out and now it is our turn to seek Him all the days of our lives, running after Him, and giving Him all of ourselves.
Songs of praises leave our lips. Humbled lives lead our steps. A circumcised heart guides our thoughts. We love, because He first loved us. Taught by sacrifice and discipline, we learn to turn over all things. Not from great riches, or from first fruits of obligations. We give because we are God’s children and we want to pour out our love as children do, in wonder and purity of heart.
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13
Not just the birds of the air that He hand-picked in color. Not just the beasts of the fields or the chosen sea creature. All creatures, all of creation, and all of the people will say amen, and sing praises to the Lord. Every knee will bend, and every head will bow. We will come into His glory together.
Reckless Love
Written by Cory Asbury, Caleb Culver, and Ran Jackson. Watch Video.
Chorus
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ‘til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it, still You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Life is full of choices and wandering. The Lord called me in my desert and poured life and truth into me through conviction by the Holy Spirit. I am now called to grow His kingdom by sharing the joy I have found in my king. Most days you can find me with my children as I disciple them through Bible study and homeschooling among other volunteer opportunities in our community.
