Nothing scares the enemy more than seeing you seek God with all your heart. As you draw closer to God, don’t be surprised when the enemy starts working overtime to pull you away. As Pastor Furtick says here: “Is it possible that the trial that you’re going through is actually a testament to the power that lives within you? The devil doesn’t waste bullets! God used their enemy to show them who they were!” No need to sweat.
- Nothing can touch you that doesn’t pass through the hands of God, first (Job 2:3-6)
- God is stable. He is wonderful, counselor, your GOOD shepherd, refuge, prince of peace–through the storm, valleys, lowlands, and all the spaces in between–He is unchanging and unfailing (Malachi 3:6)
Take whatever hope you have today and use it to sustain you through the night. One more day.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)
We can’t avoid suffering in this lifetime; however, we can prepare our hearts for it by making strong foundations. Pray: Even when you don’t know what to pray, bow your head and close your eyes. He sees you.
“The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:17-18)
Memorize Scripture: Gird His promises on your heart so you can meditate on them in trying seasons. Romans 12:12, Romans 8:26, and 1 Corinthians 10:13 are a few of my favorites. What are some of your favorite verses to meditate on and build strong foundations in trying seasons? Leave a comment below! From my heart to yours, Grace
